Love In Many Verses
One of my friends celebrated her birthday recently, and a group of us went to tour several points of interest in New York City. To close her celebration on a good note she decide to attend a church function at her church for Valentine Day. She invited a few other friends and myself to the function, and I was one of the invites that accepted her invitation. After all, I rather celebrate Valentine Day in remembrance of the love of God instead of the love of man. With this frame of mind, I decided to explore the Word to see how many times the word love is mentioned. Indeed, I may miss a few, but below is a list of how many times I found bible verses that talks about love. This is enlightening, and some of the messages is truly a reason for me to attend church for my Valentine Day celebration. The first five are some of my favorite verses.
|Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
|We love because He first loved us
And above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfectness
Do everything in love.
|God is love. ; and he that dwelled in love dwelled in God, and God in him.
